This is a brushed fleece, made from OEKO-TEX® certified organic cotton, mixed with recycled cotton, from post-industrial textile cotton waste.

To produce 1 kg of virgin cotton, it takes about 13,000 liters of water during cultivation, processing and dyeing. In contrast, 1 kg of this recycled cotton requires 0 liters of water: it is neither cultivated, nor processed, nor dyed.

Textile waste is collected from surplus production and then mechanically recycled. This process uses 50% solar energy. No chemicals are used in the recycling process, which means no pulp is involved: the fiber is, and remains, cotton.
